RE: RIP - RVSnowBird

Thanks, Lorelle, for the laugh! Dick would have thoroughly enjoyed it, too! What better way to celebrate a wonderful life well lived than a toast with vinegar!!! I was so glad that we had a couple of ORS representatives there at the Memorial Service. I still miss your dad every night at 7:00 pm EDT/EST as he and I were always the first ones to log onto the ORS chat site. He would be happy to know we are carrying on with his life's joy, and that he will be forever remembered in our get-togethers and nightly chats. I just said goodbye to several friends I met on ORS, who convened here at my property for our 3rd annual Adirondack get-together, and his name was on our tongues frequently. Hopefully this will be an ongoing annual event. Nasoosie

RE: RIP - RVSnowBird

Here's the latest info I received from Dick's daughter, Lorelle, yesterday morning when I logged in to my email at school: Hi Sue, Here's the site I've created for my dad: http://www.mclaughalots.com/dad/ All funeral/burial details will be posted on the home page as they become available. Pass it along! Thanx, Lorelle *********************************************************** Perhaps someone else can make sure this info to gets to other forums that Dick was active in on here? I'm not sure how many he participated in. Thank you, Lorelle, for this update, and continued sympathy from all of us on this forum and from all of our beloved pets whose lives Dick touched. RE: RV Snowbird's passing

Dick's daughter, Lorelle, posted a couple of messages on the Pet Stop Forum and asked me if I would be sure to pass them on to other concerned forums. Below is one she posted a couple of days ago. Others can be found on the Pet Stop forum. Posted: 03/03/08 10:57pm Link | Quote | Print | Notify Moderator -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi everyone! I'm Dick's daughter, Lorelle. My husband and I are in his RV in Pahrump, NV, getting it ready to drive up to Tacoma WA where we live. To those who wonder what happened, well, he's been battling heart disease for decades. The official cause of death was arterial sclerosis cardiac pulmonary disease. He died in bed clutching his heart. We think it was over very quickly and that he didn't suffer. I know you guys all miss him, but what you probably don't know is how much you all meant to HIM. Seriously, you were the reason he kept going despite all his health hardships. Even when we all got together last Father's Day at Rising River RV park, he never stayed at our RV for long. He was always in a big hurry to get back to moderating RV.net. It was all he talked about, and all he cared about. You all were his second family -- those he met as well as those he had yet to meet. I'll be working on a memorial website for him when we get home. The URL will be www.mclaughalots.com/dad/ (not working yet) -- it will be mainly photos from his first 50 years. (I wish it would let me name the folder d@d, as that is how he always signed his emails & even offline letters to me.) I can be reached by email at LANDL at mclaughalots.com -- I may not have a chance to check messages at RV.net that often this week. Bless you all for making my father's last years the best of his too-short life! Lorelle ***************************************************************** Forwarded by Nasoosie...member of ORS
